Has it been more than a year since I've posted something on my personal blog?
Yes.
As with many other things, blogging is something that is fashionable one day and the next day it's something that you barely have time to give.
One year... what's happened?
We flew to Unalaska for a week's worth of exploring. Best vacation in a long time. The scenery was amazing. Lot's of WWII history, lots of fishing lore, and more eagles than you'd ever imagine.
We came home and week later flew out to Hawaii. Nice place but the water was definitely colder than I had anticipated.
Fall came and went... it was one of the most beautiful falls I've ever seen here in Seattle.
Flew to see the family in Dothan for Turkey Day.
Flew to see the family in Ohio for xmas.
Loved the weird snow storm that sacked Seattle. Sledded down the hill we live one. Nothing like having your own person ski run.
Finally adopted a cute little cat after searching for nearly a year. Her name is Neah Bay.
Went to the MCM course. Best course since college.
Went to London for a conference. Traveled to Bristol, met some incredibly generous people. Went to Scotland and visited the Caledonian channel (this is an objective for the sail around the world trip in the coming years).
Celebrated 2 years of Ksenia's relocation to the Emerald city.
Thought about posting a "one year of no posts" post.
Rented a chainsaw to take out some overgrown hedges.
And... continued chasing racoons out of the yard.
All in all ... busy ... fun... aggrevating (racoons are eating all the fish in our pond)...
