Running a web server from home has an advantage...  you control everything.

 

But there is one major disadvantage... if something goes wrong and you're out of town, chances are the problem won't be fixed until you return home.

 

Wonder why my site fell off the face of the earth? 

 

Well, I've been out of town for nearly 2.5 months (left the very same afternoon I stopped working for msft) on an extended vacation.  Combine my absence with wacky winter storms that have caused a variety of power and service outages... and you have a classic case of Non Remoteous Managementus. 

 

Here's to getting back into the blogging groove... :)
