Installing web part assemblies....

Do you need to quickly install a web part assembly?

Try InstallAssemblies.exe (http://www.bluedoglimited.com/Shared%20Documents/Readme.WebPartToolkit.mht#_Toc68695357).

It will create dwps and SafeControl entries... and place them into a web part package which is then installed onto a SharePoint virtual server.

The newest version can be found in the Downloads folder (http://www.bluedoglimited.com/Downloads) as part of the Web Part Toolkit.

If you prefer a slightly older, standalone version; the tool can be found in the SharePoint Products and Technologies
Web Component Directory (https://s.microsoft.com/sharepoint/downloads/components/detail.asp?a=431).

I am trying to use this tool but having the following error:

Could not determine WSS build number or type.

How could this hapen and how do I fix this?

Hi...

This tool is designed to work against WSS v2 (aka WSS 2003) only.

Hi,

I am installing web part and it works for vs2005. while installing for vs 2003 I got the below error

"The path to Microsoft.SharePoint.dll was either not provided during setup or the dll could not be found at the path provided."Try to reinstall".

I have reinstall and also tried but the same erro occurs. How to avoid this? Any advice would be appreciated.

Any one please answer for this quickly.

Please note that InstallAssemblies was not revamped for v3.
